What is Body Ultherapy Prime?

Ultherapy Prime is a high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device that builds on the original Ultherapy system with more precise energy delivery. Real-time ultrasound imaging lets the practitioner see the tissue layers while treating.

The device creates small thermal coagulation points at roughly 60–70°C in the deep dermis and the fibrous connective layer beneath it. The body's healing response to these points stimulates new collagen and elastic fibers, which may lead to gradual tightening. The device is approved by the US FDA and Korea's MFDS.

What to expect

The area is cleaned and gel is applied. Topical numbing or other comfort measures may be offered. You can expect deep warmth and brief discomfort, especially over thin skin or near bone. Treatment takes about 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area.

Mild redness, swelling or tenderness may appear and usually settles within a day or so; bruising or numbness is uncommon. Collagen builds over two to three months, so the most noticeable change is often seen around 90 days after treatment. Many people repeat treatment every 6–12 months. Results vary.

Aftercare

• Avoid saunas and very hot baths for a few days
